forCHRIST’S – presenting the gospel message of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord KIDS – to children on their level, in a fun, nurturing and safe environment.
At Springfield United Methodist Church (SUMC), we offer opportunities throughout the year for children and families to grow in love, faith and Christian witness. We strive to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for all of our children. To help ensure this, we require all staff and volunteers working with children and youth to follow the SUMC "Safe Sanctuaries Policy" and undergo periodic background checks. All staff is required to be certified in First Aid and CPR.
Year-Round Weekly Ministries:Nursery (available during worship services and Sunday School)Sunday School: 2 & 3 Year Olds Class, Pre-K/K Class, 1st & 2nd Grade Class, 3rd Grade Class, 4th Grade Class, Tweens Class for 5th & 6th Graders Children’s Church: Pre-K/K Class and 1st-3rd Grade Class at 8:30 service / Combined Pre-K - 3rd Grade Class at 11:00Acolyte Program (for 2nd-6th graders / annual training each August)
